David L. Donabedian, CFA
Chief Investment Officer

David Donabedian joined Ashbridge in 2006. Mr. Donabedian is responsible for establishing and implementing broad investment policy across the entire firm, including investment policy development, asset allocation and manager selection. He is Chairman of the firm's Investment Committee.

Prior to Joining Ashbridge Mr. Donabedian was a Managing Director at Atlantic Trust and served as their Chief Economist responsible for providing economic and financial markets analysis as an integral part of the investment decision making process. He was a member of that firm’s Asset Allocation, Multi-Manager (manager due diligence), and Investment Policy Committees. He was also leader of their Baltimore and Washington, DC offices.

Before employment with Atlantic Trust in 1996, Mr. Donabedian was Vice President, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Chief Economist at Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Co., where he was responsible for forecasting global economic and market trends as well as managing equity and fixed-income portfolios.

Mr. Donabedian received a BS in Economics and a BA, with Honors, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He subsequently earned an MBA from Columbia University Graduate School of Business with a concentration in Finance and Money Markets. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the CFA Institute.
