Charles was appointed President of Ashbridge Corporation in 1961. In 1978, he became a full-time employee, managing the investment portfolios of the Grace family. In 1992, Charles founded Ashbridge Investment Management to offer wealth advisory services to other substantial investors. Since that time, he has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of both firms. Charles oversees the investment portfolios of the family holding company and is active with client accounts and investment policy.
Charles has a long investment career serving in the corporate finance department at Drexel and Company in Philadelphia and later became a principal at Smith Barney in New York and Paris.
Charles is a graduate of Princeton University and the Wharton School of Business Administration and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the teaching staff at the Wharton School for two years after obtaining his MBA from the institution. Charles serves as a trustee of various civic and cultural organizations.
Bill joined Ashbridge in November 2008. He services client relationships, develops new business, manages the Client Advisors, and serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.
Bill retired from Wachovia in September 2008 as the Regional President responsible for the greater Philadelphia and Delaware markets. He served as a Regional President for First Union and Wachovia in Maryland for over nine years before moving to Pennsylvania in October 2005. Prior to Wachovia, Bill spent twelve years at Mellon running their Middle Market and Government Contractor Lending segment in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Bill started his career at Mercantile Safe Deposit and Trust.
Bill holds a BA from Loyola University and a MBA from Loyola’s Sellinger School of Business. Bill serves on the Board of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Catholic Social Services and the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
